The US actress Zendaya is not only a big star who shines in series like “Euphoria” and blockbusters like “Spider-Man”. She also loves being down to earth in the kitchen. One of the 26-year-old’s favorite recipes is avocado pasta, which even inexperienced cooks can easily make. We took a closer look at the recipe.

Recipe: How to make Zendaya’s favorite pasta

For a hassle-free success of this recipe, it is important to first prepare the ingredients. The garlic is peeled and finely chopped. If the cloves have a green shoot, it is advisable to remove it, as it often tastes a little bitter. The fresh Parmesan is then grated, because when the pasta is al dente, everything should be done very quickly and be ready.

Halve the avocado lengthways and remove the stone. Care should be taken when doing this, because it often happens that inexperienced cooks slip with the knife and injure themselves.

The flesh of the avocado is now removed from the skin with a spoon and placed in a food processor together with the garlic cloves and the basil leaves. Immediately add the lemon juice to keep the avocado flesh from browning. Now all the ingredients are mixed in the food processor until a velvety cream is formed. If such a kitchen appliance is not in the house, the avocado cream can also be made with a blender or stand mixer.

It is seasoned with salt, pepper and the best possible quality olive oil. The oil should be worked in until it is completely emulsified with the cream.

When the sauce is finished, the pasta is prepared. Italians swear by cooking them in plenty of well-salted water. The rule of thumb is to use one liter of water and ten grams of salt for every 100 grams of pasta. When the noodles are all dente, they are drained through a sieve and immediately mixed with the avocado cream.

The pasta is distributed on plates, sprinkled with plenty of parmesan and decorated with basil and cherry tomatoes as desired. The meal can already be enjoyed. Of course, this dish tastes best fresh. It can also be taken to the office in a lunch box or bento box and warmed up in the microwave.
