Gwyneth Paltrow turned 50 last September. But none of this can be seen. The actress, cookbook author and entrepreneur – she’s CEO of wellness company Goop – looks as energetic as ever, with glowing skin and shiny hair.
If you’re wondering what her trick is like we are, we have good news: In a video interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Paltrow revealed what she eats on a normal day.
This is how Gwyneth Paltrow starts the day
Before breakfast, the Oscar winner begins her day with so-called oil pulling. In other words, she takes a spoonful of organic coconut oil right after getting up. To fight bacteria, she swishes this oil around in her mouth for a moment. Afterwards, the actress drinks at least one glass of water.
Proper breakfast is not Paltrow’s thing. As she reveals to “Harper’s Bazaar,” she’s “not really a breakfast person.” Instead, her morning ritual is limited to a quiet moment with her husband over a cup of coffee.
The actress doesn’t eat anything truly nutritious until she’s in the office, after taking the kids to school and hitting the gym. Sometimes she opts for a smoothie, something based on spinach and almond butter — something with “some good fats, some protein and some fiber,” as the actress explains. Other days she just eats a peanut protein bar.
“My recipes for health and good looks”
The Hollywood star relies on this lunchtime meal
The US actress usually has lunch between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. She usually eats one of the recipes that can also be found on her company’s website, such as a high-protein salad.
Between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Paltrow then inserts smaller snacks. She tells Harper’s Bazaar that she usually “craves something crunchy and salty in the afternoon.” As the actress reveals, her favorites include cashew nuts and small pretzels. To round off the small snack, Paltrow often drinks a cup of green tea.
This is what a typical dinner at Gwyneth Paltrow’s looks like
The actress has dinner at 6 p.m. – Paltrow thinks she sleeps better on an empty stomach. During the week, she and her family usually rely on “One Pot Dinners”. These dishes are based on good sources of protein, such as chicken or fish.
Even if this diet seems very strict at first glance, Paltrow allows himself exceptions. For example, as she told Harper’s Bazaar, one of her favorite foods is fries.
