Prepare delicious chocolate brownies with just four ingredients

This recipe uses very few, healthy and natural ingredients.

For the quick brownies you need:

  • 1.5 cups ground walnuts
  • 2.5 cups of dates, without stone
  • 1 cup almonds, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup cocoa powder

Aside from that:

  • Blender or strong blender
  • casserole dish

How to prepare the chocolate brownies:

  1. Soak the dates in some water.
  2. Meanwhile, roughly chop the almonds, grind the walnuts and measure out the cocoa.
  3. Pour off the excess soaking water and use a hand blender to mash the dates to a fine pulp.
  4. Mix the ground nuts and cocoa powder with the date mixture.
  5. Knead in the chopped almonds.
  6. Spread the finished mass about two centimeters thick in a casserole dish or a comparable container.
  7. Place in the fridge for at least an hour.

Well chilled, the mass becomes firm and you can cut it into bite-sized or larger pieces and enjoy it, depending on your preference.

Tip: These vegan chocolate brownies are just as easy to make without eggs.

This is how the natural ingredients work in the body

Dates improve digestion, strengthen bones and the immune system

Dates are not only a practical sugar alternative, but also a valuable supplier of numerous vitamins of the B group, as well as for vitamins A and K. The fifteen minerals it contains include calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and potassium. In addition, the “breads of the desert” rich in dietary fiber.

Their ingredients make the dates a real health booster, because they not only improve digestion, strengthen bones and the immune system, but also demonstrably reduce the risk of suffering a stroke.

It is said that only three dates a day are enough to benefit from all their positive properties. You just have to know how to control yourself.

Walnuts are good for the heart and lower cholesterol

Walnuts are not exactly a low-fat snack, but they are easy to get from home cultivation and rich in healthy ingredients. Among all nuts, walnuts are the richest unsaturated fatty acids, such as alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3 and omega-6) and can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Antioxidants, vitamins and minerals also contribute to the fact that a few walnuts a day can make an important contribution to a healthy diet.

However, since walnuts are very high in fat, they should be consumed in moderation. The recommendation is 30 grams per day for an adult.

Almonds for supple skin

Just like dates and walnuts, almonds are rich in vitamins and trace elements and naturally enhance the good properties of the other brownie ingredients for the heart, blood and circulation. This in Almonds contain vitamin E also ensures that the skin remains supple and rich in nutrients for longer, the formation of wrinkles is slowed down.

Mood-enhancing effect of cocoa

In South America, where the cocoa bean comes from, it is called a gift from the gods, and not without reason. You’ve probably noticed the mood-enhancing effect of the brown powder yourself. When using it, you should make sure that sugar has not already been added to the relatively bitter powder. That would lower the health factor of our brownies. In addition, the sweetness from the dates is completely sufficient, so that the recipe does well without additional sugar.

Just like the other three ingredients, natural cocoa powder contains many different minerals and vitamins, which make it have a blood pressure-lowering and skin-rejuvenating effect similar to that of dates, walnuts and almonds. Those contained in cocoa Flavanols increase the elasticity of blood vessels and in this way also reduce the risk of suffering a stroke.

As you can see, there are many reasons to try my vegan brownies instead of resorting to industrially manufactured sweets. But the most important thing is probably still that they taste unbeatably good. The only difficulty will be not devouring them all at once.

Tip: Although these sweet potato brownies are baked, they are also full of vital substances, without industrial sugar and vegan.
