Jim has a heart for stray dogs in need and keeps posting clips of him caring for and feeding the abandoned four-legged friends on his TikTok channel “@jimjimmie”. On December 11, 2022, his video of a sad dog waiting outside a shop in Seremban, capital of the Malaysian state of Negiri Sembilan for days, went viral.

Bitch persevered

Jim did not succeed in persuading the dog to seek a sheltered spot. After much persuasion, she accepted some food, but the depressed body language remained unchanged. As it turned out, she had disappeared about four kilometers away almost eight months earlier.

Ultimately, Jim’s clip brought this dog story to a happy ending, because the owners of the bitch Bairava also saw his clip and contacted him immediately. It is not entirely clear why Bairava chose this particular place as a waiting place, but in the end the dog’s persistence had the desired result.

Bitch had been missing since May

Speaking to the Malaysian newspaper “says.com”, owner Vaani (40) reported: “We went there and called her name … we all cried and hugged our dog.” The mother from Melaka also said that they welcomed the stray into their family as a puppy about five years ago. Actually, they had planned to give the bitch away again later. But because Bairava couldn’t cope on her own, they adopted the animal.

Bitch escaped

When Vaani fell ill and needed time to herself, her husband and a friend took care of Bairava. During this time, the dog escaped when a door was not properly locked and remained missing despite months of intensive searching.

In fact, the family almost resigned themselves to never finding Bairava again – until Vaani’s sister discovered Jim’s video and the emotional reunion could take place.
