It’s the little things that make us happy and sweeten everyday life. Happy is someone who has a postman like Ian, who obviously enjoys his job and treats his customers with heartfelt empathy.

dr David DC captured the story of his little daughter and the amazing mailman on his TikTok channel my.nameisdavid. A clip from November 2020 takes us back to the time of the corona pandemic. At first we see a little blond girl lolling bored on the sofa and looking longingly out of the window.

Alongside his clip, David wrote that ever since the little one could stand up, she’s been waiting for a special visitor every day – the postman Ian. And sure enough, the girl suddenly waves, then gets up happily and starts a merry little dance on the sofa. Ian takes his time outside the window for the fun dance routine, making it all a pas de deux at a distance.

Always returning joy

Because of his outspoken friendliness, Ian is popular throughout the neighborhood. He always has a smile on his face, writes David. And the delightful dance repeats day after day, month after month. Rain or snow are no obstacle for Ian, we learn and can also convince ourselves in a clip from February 2021: The dancing messenger surprisingly wears shorts despite the snow.

No end in sight

In a clip from November 2022, David shows that the little dances he has grown fond of have not stopped even after two years. Ian is now a fixture in David’s family – it doesn’t work without him, he’s a part of it throughout all (seasons) of the year: “See you tomorrow, Ian!”
